The Green Corridor
The Green Corridor Project is a partnership between the Barron River Catchment Management Association (BRICMA) and is supported by Cairns Port Authority, Terrain, Conservation Volunteers Australia, private landowners and many other partners. The Missing Link Resource Coordinators has project managed the establishment of the planting program and support systems for the first two years of its implementation
In its 2yrs, the Green Corridor Project so far has planted more than 60 000 trees across 5 sites comprising more than 40Ha of land.
The project is a good option for companies that wish to offset their carbon emissions, something that can lead to on from a small business eco-audit. Codes of Practice: Development & Implementation
The Missing Link Resource Coordinators have project managed the development of the two highest profile Codes of Practice developed in the Wet Tropics to reduce the impacts of maintenance activities by key infrastructure agencies, and has developed and implemented appropriate training modules for infrastructure agency staff and their contractors across the region. A Code of Practice aids compliance by reducing risk, and training staff through simple practical measures.
